To help Ecotech Services maximise e-scrap processing, we welcome volunteers to assist with sorting and dismantling materials that offer limited or no commercial value but deliver strong social and environmental benefits.
Volunteer places are limited, so we are not always able to accept new volunteers.
We strongly support education, particularly in technical trades, and welcome individuals seeking work experience in the technology sector. Some recyclable materials are also provided to individuals or organisations as learning resources, as dismantling and examination support hands-on education.
Paid and unpaid internships are available, mainly for those pursuing careers in appliance or computer repair.
In addition to hosting volunteers, our staff also volunteer their time and skills, particularly at repair cafés.
While our goal is to employ paid staff for all dismantling, sorting, and testing, this would require central government policy mandating e-waste recycling.
